PREMISES MANAGER ACROSS BOTH SCHOOL SITES 20 HOURS PER WEEK TERM TIME PLUS ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY HOURS OVER FOUR WEEKS (TO BE AGREED) BASIC SALARY £12,105 PER ANNUM (Dependant upon experience) “It is a very happy place to work” – Ofsted – Mortimer St. Mary’s 2021 We are looking for a new Premises Manager to join our wonderful team. Do you like organising things, a varied day, problem solving and being busy? Then we have the job for you! The Premises Manager is responsible to the Executive Headteacher for the general safety, maintenance and upkeep of the school premises and grounds, and for contributing towards providing a safe, secure, clean, and warm environment for all children, staff and visitors. The role will involve areas such as: · Monitoring and maintaining records in areas such as legionella, asbestos and fire safety. · Working alongside the Assistant Caretaker to ensure the sites are clean, tidy and safe. · Taking responsibility for monitoring contractors on site during working hours ensuring safety procedures are adhered to and work completed satisfactorily. · Writing of premises risk assessments including updating of all assessed risks as necessary. · Manage and maintain The Federation’s premises action plan detailing all strategic projects, costs and timelines · Take responsibility for writing and review of relevant policies linked to premises and school site. The successful applicant should have: · Ability to use initiative and to work effectively as part of a team · An understanding that the needs, safety, wellbeing of the children, staff and visitors are of prime concern · Experience of site supervision and or facility management or similar role · Excellent organisational skills · Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule and evaluate work · Effective use of IT packages, including word and excel · A willingness to undertake, as necessary, training in all aspects of the job including health and safety · Able to communicate verbally and in writing with all school stakeholders, and recognise the importance of and need for confidentiality. · Administration skills · Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety regulations (desirable) We can offer: · A warm and friendly team of staff · Supportive and ambitious Senior Leadership Team, office team and Governing Body · Attractive and well-resourced environment · A commitment to furthering your professional development and support with training “Staff morale is high and there is a strong sense of teamwork that permeates the school” – Ofsted – Mortimer St. Mary’s 2021 Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged by appointment only.
